This tray measures approx. 12Wx18Lx3/4". We add 7-1/2" black handles plus mar and skid resistant silicone rubber feet which are screwed in place making this handcrafted tray unlike any others marketed. This tray consists of north American Black Walnut with a strip of Birdseye Maple accent and then added 3/4" edging of Black curly Walnut. All glues and finishes used are not only moisture resistant, but also food contact safe. All my boards have been subjected to moisture prior to finishing, as this raises the wood fibers. We then let dry and follow with sanding up to a 500 grit after which we submerge it in butcher block oil and let stand for 24 hours. It is then waxed with combo carnauba and bees wax, let to dry and then buffed. Once all these steps are completed, this tray is ready to go. Simple care involves wiping with damp cloth and occasionally reapplying butcher block oil and/or bees wax, then lightly buff. How often depends on use and what food or moisture it is exposed.
